THM-100™
Online Trihalomethanes Monitor
Frequent and significant fluctuations in trihalomethanes (THMs) are difficult for water and wastewater utilities to capture due to the infrequency of quarterly regulatory grab samples and the turnaround time for external laboratory analysis.
As a result, utilities often operate their facilities conservatively to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, as they lack real-time visibility into their level of trihalomethanes. This approach frequently leads to avoidable financial and environmental costs resulting from overtreatment, unnecessary treatment, and increased use of energy-intensive THM removal processes.
Flexible Options
The THM-100™ analyzer uses the well-known “purge-and-trap” sampling method, followed by desorption into a chemical mixture that generates a colored product, which is then analyzed spectrophotometrically for detection and determination of speciated trihalomethane levels. The analyzer reports the highest concentration of either chloroform or bromoform, as well as TTHM, although other options are configurable. The THM-100™ instrument has an accuracy specification of ±10% and it has demonstrated a relative standard deviation of 3% or less on CHCl3 and approximately 1% or less of the total trihalomethanes value during independent testing. The THM-100™ analyzer has been demonstrated to be more reliable than external laboratory analyses.
Biological Denitrification Treatment Solution
BIOBOX® Nitrate is the best alternative for nitrate removal. The technology helps facilities comply with regulatory requirements at lower operating and associated investment costs than ion exchange and reverse osmosis. Delivered in either a containerized or full-scale design, the BIOBOX® Nitrate
technology can be customized to specific needs and flow rates.
BIOBOX® Nitrate Advantages
• Modular containers or full-scale systems
• 100% automated with remote alerts and a warning system
• > 95% NO₃ – elimination, transforms nitrate into harmless nitrogen gas (NO₃ – → N₂ gas)
• Operates in water temperature from 3º-39ºC
• No pollutants are rejected
• Ensures minimal water loss, averaging between 3-5%
• Low energy consumption • Low CAPEX & OPEX
